What is a Public Adjuster?
Public Adjusters exist because of the inherent conflict of interest that exists when one person or entity attempts to represent two sides of a financial transaction…
Just as insurance companies have adjusters who work for them to evaluate insurance claims, policyholders have the right to retain their own adjuster to make sure claims are handled properly and settled fairly.
A public adjuster is a licensed professional. To obtain a license, a candidate undergoes a background check, must pass an exam issued by the State of Georgia and have qualified experience in adjusting claims.

Insurance policies can be complex documents and can easily be misinterpreted. Insurance companies have a difficult issue as they attempt to serve two entities: policy holders and shareholders. That means they need to “save money” and therefore they value the worth of many claims and losses at amounts that are often inadequate (only a basic fix) to properly restore properties to the condition they were in before the damages occurred. Having someone on your side that is familiar with both the language of the insurance policy and how those policies are enforced can mean a great deal as to how your claim gets settled.
